Abstract Submission Guidelines

Authors will be required to register as a user on the online submission system. Once registered, a confirmation email will be sent to you containing the submission instructions and an abstract template. Please ensure that you insert your abstract into the template as per the instructions before uploading.

Please note that the template allows for text and tables only. No figures or illustrations will be accepted. The abstract text should not exceed 300 words.

Submission Instructions

You will need to login using the username and password that you selected. Please go to the following page to start the submission process.

Once you have signed in correctly, please follow the four simple steps and answer all the questions. Once you have answered all the questions, please click "finish" to complete the submission process.

You will then receive a confirmation email advising that your submission was completed successfully.

You can login into the abstract submission screen at any stage up until the deadline of 17th October 2011. After this date you will no longer have access to the abstract submission screen. If you require assistance after the deadline date, please contact Kerry Firmani (Kerryf@turnergroup.co.za) or Lethisha Narayan (Lethishan@turnergroup.co.za).

Please note that at least one of the authors must be registered to present your work at the conference should it be accepted.

Abstracts must be submitted in English (British) and may not exceed 300 words.

Abstracts should indicate: Purpose of the paper, Design / Methodology / Approach, Findings, Research limitations / implications (if applicable), Practical implications (if applicable), Originality / Value of the paper, Key words.

Abstracts will be reviewed in terms of relevance to the aims and objectives of the Congress; originality of subject matter; likely academic rigour of the proposed paper; and likely contribution to knowledge, or practical relevance, of the proposed paper.

By submitting your abstract, you agree that it has been approved by all the authors and that you would assign copyright of your paper to ICEC 2012 once approved.

Please note that should your paper be accepted, you will be required to complete and sign, scan and upload the copyright form (downloadable in step 1 of 3 of the submission process) as a supporting document to your final paper in the final paper submission process.
